As a Managing Director at First Round, Joe has been involved in the company's most high profile searches with his primary focus on building sales teams for early stage venture backed companies. Joe successfully completed search assignments with dozens of early stage companies such as: Alpine Data Labs, Datameer, Cleversafe and Vertica Systems, Inc. (now HP). Prior to joining FRS, Joe spent 4 years with Irvine based search firm BridgeGate Group. While at BridgeGate, Joe successfully completed CTO, CIO, Vice President and Director level searches on behalf of emerging venture backed software companies. During his tenure there, Joe was an annual member of the company's President's Club.
Joe has vast knowledge of the technology market and is an expert at identifying and placing senior sales talent in the storage, networking and enterprise software space. Before his career in the recruiting industry, Joe spent over 6 years as a real estate finance executive where he secured financing for builders, developers and high net worth individuals.
Joe currently resides in south Orange County, holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. His 16 year old daughter Scarlett is recognized as a leading member of her schools' national traveling dance team that has won numerous awards.
