Jess Baker

As a Managing Director at First Round Search Jess has played a key role in the success of the firm. With more than 12 years experience in the search industry, Jess is known for his focus, commitment and in-depth knowledge of both sales and presales recruiting. Throughout his career, Jess has successfully completed hundreds of searches throughout the United States and has worked with many of the most recognizable startups as well as several of the country's largest industry leaders. Jess possesses an in-depth knowledge of security, storage and enterprise software markets.

Prior to joining First Round Search, Jess spent 5 years at BridgeGate as a managing director, where he successfully built the firms' marketing recruiting practice. Jess was a President's Club member and consistently ranked in the top 5% of over 35 recruiters throughout his career at BridgeGate.

Jess began his recruiting career at Cory and Associates where he spent 5 years recruiting across a wide variety of markets. Jess is a native of Orange County and in his spare time he enjoys snow skiing, dirt bike riding, boating and music.
